Many people are aware of the benefits of using social networks to promote a business but many have not yet mastered the techniques of social marketing. I have used social network marketing to bring millions of people to my websites and youtube channel. The key is to not seem like your marketing something. No one wants to be pushed into purchasing or visiting your site. You can easily use these social networks to bring people to your site but you have to be creative. I wanted to put together some great ways to bring traffic to your site by not being so obvious. People don't mind what I call soft marketing. There are so many advertisements on websites etc.. That people get tired of being pushed around. I will list 5 simple ways to bring people to your website using what I call soft marketing.
- Create fan groups in facebook, myspace and youtube. For example: If you are marketing a rap artist make a Lil Wayne fan group and occassionlly ask the group to listen to music like Lil Wayne.
- Make a ning community for your business. There are millions of people using ning to make their own social communitys but make sure that you offer something unique. Create groups and forums with your ning and digg, delicious, stumbleupon everything you do.
- Use website forums relating to your product. I'm sure there are many forums relating to your business and these can bring thousands of people to your website. Start topics and post your links. Be cautios of the forum rules.
- Use myspace ads, this is a great to bring needed traffic
- If you are a youtube partner, use the new promote your videos option. This is also a great way to bring traffic to your videos.
